History
The Mareeba Speedway Club was founded in 1972 by many local townsfolk including Max Holden. The club was originally a part of the Speedway Australia governing body then reverted back to being an independently run club by Mr Holden and many others who are now life members.
Present Day
Nowadays the club is Speedway Australia registered with a 4.5 star rating out of the top score of 5 stars. Mareeba Speedway is one of the five tracks in Australia to boast this high rating. The club is family orientated and focused on providing great entertainment for all ages. The venue is also available to hire for a variety of functions.
